Joe and I met: It's no secret that Joseph and I met in an online world, where we slowly developed a friendship.
My 1st thought/opinion of him was: Is he for real?
What I love most about him: 1) His patience 2) How sincerely he loves me 3) That I can go to him with anything, anything at all, and he listens and gives me whatever it is I need from him at that moment.
A dream we share together is: When the kids leave home, to build a cabin somewhere in the woods, and enjoy quiet solitude together, alone....quietly...isolated...did I mention quiet? I forget what that sounds like.
A struggle we have overcome: The beginning was rocky as we overcame our differences, we share the responsibility of our son's disabilities which in the early stages (before medication) was really trying on our relationship.
Our most touching moment: When Raine was born, no doubt. I was un-medicated and in excruciating pain, he wrapped me in his arms and held me, he wasn't watching when she was born, he was looking in my eyes, and when he heard her cry for the first time, his eyes teared up. When the nurse placed Raine in his arms, there was an overpowering sense of just plain awe in the whole room, it seemed as if time stopped for a few heartbeats, just for the three of us.
My favorite drink: Blue Demon
His: Rockstar
He's really good at: building, fixing, maintaining, upgrading ect., anything that has a wire attached to it...mostly if they are inside metal boxes that sit on top of desks...and have a power button on them.
What makes him a great Dad: His patience, tolerance and ability to get down to their level to help them understand the if's ands why's buts rights and wrongs of being a child in this world.
